Joanna & Richard’s place is perfect for exploring beautiful Connemara. It's spacious, quiet and has everything you need for a relaxing time including comfortable beds, a big kitchen and no Wifi to distract from the natural beauty of your surroundings. Would have no problem recommending. Thank you. Edward , April 2019.
The cottage was super clean, quiet, cozy and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. All amenities listed were present and in good working order. The view was spectacular, a little slice of heaven viewed right from your dining and living room window. A wonderful place to relax in front of the fire. Special thank you for providing the wood and starting materials. Richie is prompt in answering any questions and even checked up on us to see how we were faring after 24 hours. Ellen, April 2019.
Wonderful location right at the top of Killary Harbour - remote but still within easy reach of thinks. Try the Killary Adventures "Turf Challenge" - our kids loved it! Kay , August 2018
Our party had a fantastic stay! Joanna and Richie are amazing hosts! They are also quick to respond and offer a great suggestions of things to do! Can’t recommend staying with them enough! Andrew , August 2018
This is a wonderful place on the border of Connemara and Mayo. The house is perfect (as long as you do not have wifi addicted family members) and in a sublime location. The countryside is everything we expected it to be with beautiful scenery in every direction. The Erriff river and Aashleigh falls nearby can be easily reached via the path in the back and it's worth walking along the banks of the river into the valley. There were many salmon and sea trout leaping. Leenaun has some nice places to eat and the nearby pub is as authentic as it gets. If you want to be there on Sunday when they have the live music, be sure to arrive early because the locals will also be there. Great atmosphere. Joanna and Richard were very helpful and communicative. Frank, August 2018
I have only good things to say about our hosts and the lovely Falls Cottage. The check-in process was very smooth and Joanna & Richard provided some thoughtful touches to welcome us to the cottage. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable, with spectacular views of the fjord from the living room and dining area. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you might need for a family/ couple/small group break. It’s located close to Leenaun with a few bars and places to eat and is right next to the beautiful Aasleagh falls which has a beautiful track to walk further along the river - you may even catch sight of some Atlantic salmon trying to leap the falls to travel up stream. The cottage is a handy bolthole to explore other parts of Connemara and Mayo, with the likes of Westport and Clifden a reasonable drive away. There are some beautiful beaches also within a reasonable drive - we tried Old Head, Glassilaun, Silver Strand and Dog’s Bay. We also caught the sunset on the Sky Road outside Clifden. All in all, a very special cottage, hosted warmly and thoughtfully, in a gorgeous part of the world. Caroline , July 2018
Jederzeit wieder! Simone , Jan 2018
